I bought the Spud and Chloe thinking of making a scarf, and then realizing that 1. I HATE knitting scarves and 2. It would end up being way expensive. I was looking through the pattern ideas for the yarn and it was all baby clothes so I decided to man up and finally knit a sweater. As of 04/15/10 I’m a little past the arm holes and everything is going well so far. I love the colour and I love the texture of the yarn, though I’m not happy with how sheddy it is but hopefully that will come out with a wash.
To make the transition from the brown for the body to the blue of the edges clean the first row of the bottom and the sides/collar are all purled.
The arms were knit using 5mm DPNs because I dont have any 4.5mm…I should really pick up some, I use 4.5mm for a lot of projects.

Ideas for the next project:
For the collar doing it in stockinette stitch around the neck, keeping it in garter near the bottom near the button holes. I think the collar would roll back nicer.
The garter stitch on the bottom should be attached to the sides to keep everything looking nicer.
