Cast on using 4mm needles to have a tighter waistband.

Followed pattern doing knit, purl, knit, purl….to end of 1st row and then continued in the round until there were 8 circuits completed. Completed a single row of knit stitches before switching to 5mm needles.

On the 5mm needles completed 3 rows of knit stitches before adding the second colour. Used the Jogless Stripes technique (http://pinterest.com/pin/228135537345250494/) when joining the colour to reduce the overlap of colours. Also used this neating technique for joining in the tail ends (http://pinterest.com/pin/228135537345241371/).

Doing 6 rows white, 7 rows green after an initial error..intended to do 7&7.

UPDATE:
Majorly disappointed with myself that I didn’t get this finished in time for Christmas for my little man. Finally done with it and very glad to have it off the needles. Will do for New Years.

Not a huge fan of the pattern, the measurements are all out of whack for my 2yr old at least. Not a particularly enjoyable knit for me :(
