Made with a basic granny square:
Corners are 2 dc, ch 3, 2dc…a beg corner is ch 3, 1 dc, ch 3, 2 dc.
Side sts: are 3 dc in ch 2 spaces.

Adjustable ring/slip knot or ch 5 and join.
Rd 1. Beg corner, 2 ch, * corner, ch 2 *
repeat { to } twice more. Slst in top of the turning ch, then slip st to the next ch space.

Rd 2. Beg corner, ch 2, work side sts and corners as they appear ending with a ch 2 and slst in top of the turning ch and then slst to the next ch sp.

Repeat round 2, 5 more times. 7 rounds in all.

Slst in top of turning ch. Ch 1, and sc in each dc, 3 sc in ch 3 sps, 2 sc in ch 2 sps. End with slst in top of turning ch. Weave in ends.

Gently pull off the rubber backing fron the top it kit, and place on the wrong side of the granny square. Tie it off with a square knot. Pull the ends back through the holes, wrap around one direction, made a square knot, wrap around the other directions, make a square knot, then weave in the remaining ends.
