Project for my new colorway of the mitten-kit Västerbottensdräll. I realised that the colours are the colours of the birch-tree. Umeå, the biggest city in Vasterbotten, is often referred to as the city of the birches.

I have designed this pattern and dyed the yarn for it. The design is based upon Västerbottensdräll. That is a traditional swedish weaving-pattern from the county Västerbotten.
