I will be making two trips this week to Seattle (from Ptld) and using this as my car/baseball game/etc Seattle project

casting on using Jeny’s slipknot cast-on, so no guessing on how much to pull out for a 363 stitch long-tail cast on :)

planning on using beads instead of working the nupps too. I picked up some amber colored 8/0 beads this morning that my existing 1.5mm crochet hook is much to big to fit thru. Hoping the .9mm that is coming with my seattle carpool ;) will work

I also am planning on reducing the width by 2 pattern repeats (or 24 sts) since I am using fingering and a size 9 needle, and some of the finished object pix I was going thru looked REALLY long - might even reduce it by 4 repeats…

I ended up casting on 24 less stitches than the pattern called for. At the end of my 1st chart row, ended up with some spare stitches, so possibly counting 300+ stitches while in a car is not so accurate. with the slip stitch cast-on, was able to pull those extra cast on stitches right out and continue on :)

Ended up going with some beads purchased in Seattle instead of the amber ones I originally picked up. These ones have a satin finish and are 3 or 4 golden/bronze sort of colors and also a size 8. Even with the tiny .9mm hook, some still are too small for the hook and yarn to squeeze thru.
I placed a single bead at the first S2KP and will use them in place of the nupps also, so not a huge amount of them, just enough to be noticeable.
