01-04-2025

-Cast-on 63 stitches using 2.5 mm needles then switched over to 2.25 mm
-Decided to knit shorter ribbing (like in Summer’s sample socks for this month) - instead of my usual 1 inch ribbing, I have knit a generous 1/2 inch/ 7 rows of k2 p1

01-05-2025

Decided to try an Eye of Partridge heel flap.

01-06-2025

Followed the pattern like a good little girl and finished my heel flap, heel turn, and gusset. Then I tried on my sock and was reminded by that familiar, uncomfortable tightness that I need to knit a longer heel flap and deeper gusset to accommodate my heel diagonal! How on earth could I have forgotten to do this?? RIP! RIP! RIP!

Both socks are complete.
Ended up knitting 2.5 inch heel flaps.
