I used crochet thread because the recipient is allergic to wool AND acrylic (my stash!), resulting in a rather diminutive Feegle - closer to three inches than six. Even-More-Wee-than-Wee-Jock-Jock?

I got very tired of latch-hooking bits of thread into his wee blue scalp, or I might have done something different with the hair, and I would have liked to have made a more authentic kilt, but I think he looks pretty good.

It’s not pictured, but I looped a bit of thread through the top of his head to make him into a Christmas ornament.
