Notes

It’s time to make Scott his annual pair of bed socks. Instead of the loom knitting a pair of super bulky bed socks, I’m trying to learn how to make real socks. I made a pair of Easy Peasy Socks for First-Timers and they were good, but I didn’t want to make the same ones again. I showed Scott all my worsted weight yarn he could choose from, and he actually selected this colorway! I love that he loves color!

Scott’s foot measurements:
Around ball of foot: 9.5”
Diagonally around ankle and heel: 14”
Around calf, 9 to 10” above heel: 11.75”
Length of foot from toe to heel: 11.5”
Length of leg from cuff to heel: 10”

I’m getting used to DPNs. They’re not as annoying this time as the past couple times I used them. I’m looking forward to trying the circular sock knitting, though.

I finally completed Scott’s second sock! Just in ime to gift on Valentine’s Day!

Lesson learned: TAAT is definitely going to have to be the way to go henceforth. So glad my knitting group cast on a couple days ago so we can learn together.

Since Scott’s feet are so big, and because I know how hard he is on socks, he will not be getting anything other than worsted weight bed socks for the foreseeable future.

Thankfully, I can get a complete pair of worsted socks from a 100g skein, so this is good.

This yarn is not superwash, and I ruined my husband’s socks. Important to note, that it does felt beautifully, if that’s what you’re going for!
