I set out to knit Mr Awesome a hat with a deep, folded brim in a head-hugging rib. There were a few patterns that fitted this description, but each seemed flawed in some manner. Either the brim did not fold back neatly, the crown was a strange shape or the decreases unattractive.

This is my solution to all of those little problem, and hopefully will be a simple yet precisely perfect hat in a gorgeous yarn.
