7/08/2011 - New attempt at this lovely cardigan, after frogging the 1st attempt with different yarn (Commodum Aran Tweed).
I will follow knittingfan’s yoke alterations from knittingfan’s vine yoke cardigan for a smoother yoke, using them for every other yoke repeat all around, sleeves included… Hopefully this will be it!

I am adding 8 stitches to the sleeves length.

21/08/11 - finished! the yarn is wonderfully soft and “squidgy”, but the cardigan is awfully small (way too short and too tight) pre-blocking… Let’s see what blocking does to it.

23/08/11 - blocking worked beautifully and I think it’s now a perfect fit! Still have to find the right buttons for it

11/09/11 - finally got round to weave in all ends and sew buttons on (using 2 plies of the same yarn). The lovely square mother-of-pearl buttons received in errini’s wonderful Spring Swap parcel are just perfect for this, in size, weight and color. They are really light, and I think this is important to avoid stretching of the button band, since there are so many of them.

12/2011 - I’ve been wearing this a lot, it’s also great with a thin t-shirt underneath. If I were to do it again I would make the sleeves longer (so they don’t ride up above the elbow when I put a jacket on!) and knit the next size up (blocking shrinks back a little after a while)
