I bought this lovely pattern as soon as I saw it, and when Fiona at Grace and Jacob in York gave me a skein of her new alpaca/silk/cashmere laceweight to play with, I couldn’t resist casting on straight away.

The border was a bit tedious, all that turning, and I had to use the chart all the way, but once that was out of the way it was plain sailing. The lace section requires concentration, but is easy enough, and the garter stitch is a nice finish.

I went up a needle size to compensate for being a tight knitter, but still only used 480m or so of yarn. It’s pretty much the same size as the pattern too.
