Just realised this will be perfect for Miss E’s 15th birthday. I’ve ordered a ‘silver’ fur pom pom to finish it. (Hopefully it arrives in time and the colour is ok!)

I’m not a fan of fold-back brims so I shortened it slightly and I’m going to do 1 less pattern repeat.

For a quick present this project is perfect. Two nights work and the knitting is complete. I’m not totally sure I’m happy with the size. I need to wait for the pom pom to arrive so if I’m not in love with it for Miss E I’ll do another, slightly wider. I was probably going to make one for myself anyway.

I love the yarn/pattern match - nice stitch definition and the sparkles aren’t too overpowering.

14/8/15: Eek. One day until E’s birthday and no pompom.

17/8/15: Miss E’s birthday was 2 days ago. The pompom arrived today, as expected. It is now attached and about to be gifted. I did not block it as I don’t think it really needed it.
