Pattern is inspired by Favorite Scarf Ever, I followed Razor Shell pattern with 12-stitch repeat from BW Treasury #1— in a beach picnic-inspired colorway which as I knit, put me in a summer happy place of blue skies, sand & surf, beach balls, watermelon and corn on the cob.

Cast on 53 stitches; worked 2 garter edge stitches on either side of 49 pattern stitches; worked each 2-row repeat 6 times per color separated by 2 garter ridges (4 rows) in pumice (sand); randomly choosing color sequence as I went along. I carried Pumice up the leading edge throughout, attaching new color and working in tails at beginning of color-change row for a minimum of ends to weave in.

Here’s another example of my best de-stashing intentions gone awry, causing the purchase of even more yarn. Other colors include Grit (blue-green); peridot (lt green); diamond (yellow).

Finished size is around 8.5” X 89”. and I still have a ton of yarn left over. So much for de-stashing.
