Notes

A Sept Rhode Island wedding with a chilly forecast called for something to cover a sleeveless dress. This is nothing more than a lace rectangle seamed into sleeves with an opening in the center. The edge looked too plain & unfinished so I picked up around the center opening and worked ribbing- in the car and on the ferry from Orient Point to New London CT- finishing off with a picot edge- in the hotel room the night before the wedding and after a few cocktails at the rehearsal dinner. It absolutely made the outfit so it was definitely worth the effort, but who knows when/if I’ll ever wear it again.

The Lion Brand is a perfectly acceptable budget-friendly knock-off of Rowan KSH minus the lavish Rowan color palette. Wisp—a pastel pinky greyish taupe— is one of the prettier shades in the collection.
