Twisted the first cast on (292 sts), rocky re-start; worked sporadically, was alternating skeins, never got a good rhythm going, endless stockinette, it lived for an eternity in hibernation, seriously considered frogging.

This spring I decided to go for it full steam ahead. Followed pattern exactly except for shaping sleeve caps somewhere in between the pattern directions and something more normal. Finished and tried on; very odd fit & too short; threaded a skinny circular through all 292 sts, cut off & unpicked cast-on (seriously crazy thing to do, remind me never to try that again when I’m sober). Added a couple of rows, plus a few more of ribbing on #5 needle. Now it’s complete I’m happy but not wild. Very soft & squishy but needs just the right layering piece underneath which I’ve yet to find.
