Mario and Luigi are super happy! I wasn’t completely satisfied with any of the newsboy hat patterns I found, so I improvised this one. I like the way the rounded bill turned out.

The M and L emblems on the front were formed from the bulky yarn on felt, then hot-glued on.

The mustaches are held on with loops of clear beading elastic over their ears. The loops are fastened into the mustache by being sandwiched in between two layers of self-sticking stiffened felt. Sure would have been quicker to hot-glue them on, too! But I’m such a soft-hearted Grandma…
