2024.01.06. From the beginning I was unsure about many things in this project, even though I have used this method to crochet socks since around 2017. Should I adapt the pattern for Swedish conditions (thicker yarn) or for “all other” people (thinner yarn)? How many sizes would I have the time and energy to achieve? Should I use my favourite sock-stitch, the backside of F/iB, which is difficult to show in pictures and also trickier for slip stitch beginners? I decided to make the pattern with F/F which is easier to show in photos as it does not curl, and also easier to do for anybody that is not already an experienced slipstitcher.
But the pattern can be used to crochet socks with another stitch too, using the same figures. Which is what I have done in some of the socks in the photos.

Today I have decided the pattern is finished.

2023.07.23. I’m working on the project again! I have made a few decisions about which way to go.

2023.02.21. I have had to to let this project rest for some time. In the autumn I had to give all my free time to finish the bag Ännu en Västerbotten. And then happened the most unexpected thing: I was asked to do a crochet workshop in a textile festival this coming spring! Two workshops really, one all about slip stitch and the other about crochet squares. So I have to work on some preparations for that. (Yes, these socks are slip stitch, but not a beginner’s project…) I will take up working with the pattern after the event in april.
