First 7 rounds/rows of the bonnet have typos in, they should be as follows:

Round 1: in yellow, ch 2, dc 4 in 2nd ch from hook (4)
Round 2: inc around (8)
Round 3: inc, inc, dc 2, inc, inc, dc2 (12)
Round 4: inc four times, dc2, repeat once more (20)
Round 5: inc eight times, dc2, repeat once more (36)
Round 6: dc around (36)
Row 7: dc 28, ch 2, turn from now on you will be working back and forth

I wanted the bonnet and cape removable, so I did the trim as: ch 16, crochet onto the bonnet, ch 16

For the cape: ch14 on each side

Note: this makes the bonnet and cape removable, but doesn’t allow enough length to tie a bow. I did a loose granny knot on each
