Notes

I spun the yarn myself. It’s an alpaca/silk blend from a farm near where I live in Boring, Oregon. I bought the fiber the day I interviewed for my current job. There is a yarn store across the street from the library and after my interview I checked it out and bought this gorgeous, soft fiber. On the drive back to Spokane I would take it out of my bag just to pet it every once in awhile. There was 8 oz of fiber and I spindle spun it into lace-weight. It ended up being a mixture of cobweb/lace/worsted. In other words, a slubby yarn. So the end result is a little rustic.

8/17/2010: I finished the spinning portion of this project! yay!

1/3/2010: FINALLY started knitting this today. I decided to knit the small because I prefer my cardigans to have negative ease.

2/11/2011: I finished it! and I really love it. Knit as written. Easy as pie. It’s a lovely pattern and will be a nice Summer sweater.
