1/12/14 I did just 14 repeats of the pattern on the legs.
1/19/14 I did 15 repeats of the pattern for the foot/instep which made it 7.5” from the heel point. That’s a smidge past my pinky toe, but with lots of big toe still sticking out, lol. I think that’s about perfect for starting to knit the toe part.
still 1/19 Perfect fit. Weighed the first completed sock, and when I got 55 grams, I thought, “Uh oh.” But then when I weighed the leftover skein, it also came out to be 55 grams, lol. Reckon that bonus yardage was just one of them god winks ;-)

Also, note for next time, the heel flap part does too read correctly if you start it on NEEDLE TWO, lol. Ya know, just like the pattern said to do (blush).
Trust me, it’ll never work on needle one, lol, and why should it?

02/22/2014 Done, tails woven in, soaked, and hanging up to dry. The fabric is very dense, and with hindsight I’m thinking I should’ve used bigger needles for more drape, but with fewer stitches cast on. They don’t draw in when off the foot, but they do fit well on the foot. Weird. But that’s the yarn being dense. The pattern itself was a joy, and I can definitely see me re-visiting it again some day.
