The design process of this shawl was such a sweet, rewarding process. Since the basket weave pattern is very rhythmic and compelling, it was hard to combine with known to me stitch patterns.Therefore, I developed this custom diamond pattern that seams to grow organically and seamlessly out of the basket weave.

I think the result is stunning, and I just love the tassels that echo the shapes of the diamonds and give the shawl even more movement and pizzazz.

I had some doubts about the color at first. Would it suit me? Be easy to combine? But since the answer to these questions is YES and YES, it has been around my shoulders almost every day since I finished it.

And really, when I wear my Corbis, I feel we’re not only ‘living on the edge of the miraculous’, but right in the middle of it
