I thought it was high time for a tribute to the woman who thought me how to knit, Yvonne Maria Theresia, aka mom.

We made it into a joint venture (she made the two-colored version), and I am over the moon with my shawl, and I believe she’s quite happy with hers too.

I love the technique I used for the three colored version, which I call ‘Intarsia light’. If you are curious about it, check out episode 127 of Fruity Knitting, in which I explain this technique in detail.

And, I’m als kinda stoked about that scalloped edge, with the two protruding triangels on the shorter side (I felt so clever, when I thought of that! )
