06.06.11 The wish was growing for several days, and then all at once it took the posession of me. I wanted a warm, thin but firm, body-fitting but not tight, cozy colored, almost patternless shirt. I saw it with the eyes of my soul in many variations, starting from heathered navy and on to cream. But my stashed lacked the yarn I wanted. At last I found the perferct yarn in the internet shop in Saint-Petersurg, where I could book it and fetch on the next day - but it was too long to wait! Finally, I found it at the local store and managed to fetch it after the workday. From that time on I’m happy with it, caressing it, hugging it and knitting a lot with it. It really isn’t safe trying to part us!
Now that I’m a little sated with the beauty, I can even persuade myself to go to work. After all, this way I can make more money to buy more yarn ;-)
I’m one skein in.
03.08.11 Slow going work… cannot understand why - I like it not the less, but somehow I’d prefer it to be done already. Or may be I put too much work in other projects? Anyway, it’s going to be fabulous, I’m set on it! And another project is praying to be started… ;-)
09.08.11 All washed and blocked, button panes are done, shoulder seams done, and one sleeve is sewn in. Not so far to go - though it’s hard to see a thread in that heathery color, especially so fine a thread in so tight fabric. I must consider doing something seamless of it next time…
15.08.11 It’s done! I love it, it’s so cozy! And I completed it just in time for cold and wet weather. But the merino I used surprized me - it’s a bit itchy. I wouldn’t think it possible for a Mondial merino extrafine…
