Notes

My sister asked me to make purple washcloths to help raise awareness of Lupus, from which she suffers. I’ve made this pattern several times since moving into my new apartment, and she agrees it should look nice.
This is the first time I’ve worked with cotton yarn. The last dishcloth I made was an acrylic/wool blend that I picked up at Big Lots for $1. I have no clue what it’s like to work with yarn that costs any more than the Red Heart I learned to knit with.

Cotton yarn is definitely interesting to work with. It’s no thicker than the acrylic I’m used to, but it feels so much heavier in my hands. I told one friend it felt like I was “trying to knit jeans.” Finished product does not feel as heavy or thick as I was worried about. Now it’s off to see how well it works in practical use!
