Notes

I altered this pattern my shortening the garter stitch bands to only four rows, rather than six. I want this to be a lightweight shawl for chilly spring and summer evenings, so I’m making the eyelets more common.
I made this pattern before, in my Midsummer Night’s shawl. It was relatively simple, but I tended to make a lot of mistakes on that project, resulting occasional extra eyelets. I promised myself that I’d pay more attention to detail this time, and have this shawl make a perfectly even triangle.
Unfortunately, I’ve managed to do something wrong, and can’t seem to find where the mistake is. I’ve had to rip back four times now, and this one eyelet row is still not coming out properly. I’m going to have to rip back even further, to see if I can find where I added or dropped a stitch somewhere. But for now, I’ve put it in time-out. After pulling back so many times, I’m getting frustrated with the project. And since this is supposed to be a selfish, make-me-feel-better project, frustrated is not making me feel better… So I’ll come back later.
5/1/13 It’s back out of Time Out. I ripped back three pattern repeats to find where I screwed up a YO. It only took me there days to catch back up, but I’m making progress again!
