Stitch count seems to be off by 16. So I’m wondering if maybe another errata on part of designer, calculating every row of second set past 8, instead of alternating rows.

2/16-Calculated and recalculated and stitch count is off by 16 stitches if every other row is increased. Chart does not match up with increasing every row on next 17 rows either. Nothing drives me crazier than a poorly written pattern!!! Works out to 106 sts, not 122.

I’m still attempting to finish it for Ravellenic games, as I like the finished look.

2/25 - Well, I did not finish in time for the games. :( Still plugging away though.

3/7 - Frogged the sucker and starting over again. Ugh! This pattern is driving me crazy!

Started it back up again tonight. Instead of just counting 16 rows, which is how I read the pattern (increase for 8 every row each end, then every alt row for 16 rows) I increased over 32 rows and I can see how much of a difference it made in the back of the sweater. I know it makes me sound like an idiot, but the pattern reads funny to me and the chart is like zero help!

So back to working this thing.

4/8 - Ok, so I have to admit the first go-round was most likely my fault for not reading the pattern correctly. I’ve made it back up to the first shoulder and it is looking great. Making the decreases and hoping it will soon be ready to seam and finish. Probably won’t be able to wear it until winter again, but at least it will be done!

8/13/14 - Finally finished! Have to weave in the ends, but seriously not a weekend project. I love the finished look. Will be a good heavy poncho for winter.
