Notes

This is my first attempt at a lace pattern. I’ve tried knitting this a few times in the past but I failed miserably due to having a terrible memory when it comes to stitches and rows. I usually tend to stick with simple patterns of stockinette or garter stitch so I can’t forget where I am. Then last month I was using StumbleUpon and I found a page on how to make your own stitch markers and realized I’d never tried using stitch markers to help me remember where I am when I knit. So I got some stitch markers and I placed them on the needle every time I’m supposed to repeat the pattern. So far it looks great and I’ve only messed up one or two stitches (which aren’t really noticeable).

I plan on knitting this shawl a few more times with different colors of yarn. I used the fuzzy white yarn because I had it handy, I really recommend using a gray color like the pattern says though, cause white doesn’t give it that wispy “invisible” look to it that you see in the pattern book.
