So I just took the pumpkin hat design and I threaded extra yarn all around the brim and pulled it shut to make it round. I then stuffed it with cotton stuffing that I bought at Jo-Ann. Here’s the tricky part though. To give it that real pumpkin shape where the top indents at the stem you have to thread some yarn into a tapestry needle and thread it straight thru the top to the bottom and back up again (right in the center of the pumpkin under the stem). Pull it tight and it’ll bunch up and squeeze the whole ball into a pumpkin shape. Then sew on the stem last.
