Note: I knit this shawl wider than the 75 stitch CO in the pattern. I CO’d 135 stitches.

11/21-- I couldn’t wait to start this pattern, tho’ I don’t need the shawl until February.

1/31/2008-- I’m slowly plodding along on this shawl. I’m at about the 90% point, though I do have enough yarn to go further with it. I no longer need it for a formal function, so I’ve found another use for it.

A friend has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She’s going to have to spend three weeks in isolation in the hospital. She’s afraid (of course!) and worried about being cold. I’m going to finish up this shawl, and give to her-- so she’ll know she’s in my thoughts and prayers.
