Notes

10/19--I started this at work, using the Jaggerspun yarn. I ripped what I’ve started, and I’m now using the Fino. This could change again, before the weekend is over.

10/22-- Somehow, my count got off, so I ended up ripping back. I’m now ready to start the body of the smoke ring, with all those awful nupps folks hate to knit!

10/26-- The end is near! One I had the repeats memorized, this smoke ring knit up quickly, and I’m already getting “oohhhhs” and “aahhhs” on it at work.

Late 10/26-- Finished. I’m not crazy about the finishing edging, with the dropped stitch trim. At least it’s off the needles.

10/27-- My wonderful lace model, Scout, modeling the smoke ring. I’m a copycat, I see there are others here with dogs in smoke rings. Gosh, it works so well! I figured I’d let him wear it, before I washed it and blocked it.

Do you get the feeling I’m going to spend Thanksgiving blocking lace? I do.
