I haven’t been working on this blanket much over the past 6 months since I started this project. I’ve been busy with other, smaller, knitting projects.

Right now, I’m about a third of the way finished with this blanket. It looks stunning, and I love my color way and the quality, feel and drape of this yarn. I do not, however love the chore of winding the yarn myself or the fact that I need to clip the yarn at the end of each row and start anew. I’m not a fan of fringe (even though it suits this native American style), and I intend to add a border into which I can weave my ends. So, the constant clipping is annoying.

Winding this yarn is totally killing my mojo. I can’t wind more than 2 hanks at a time because my hand and shoulder cramps. Although I love the way this yarn looks and works up, I really wish I had just chosen one that was pre-wound.

I really love the way this came out! The cotton blend yarn is soft, with crisp, clean stitches. I don’t like fringe, so I buried my ends in a border, which was a pain in the butt. Due to the nature of this pattern flow, with all rows working right to left, there were a ton of dangling ends to bury. I prefer to work back and forth, but the end result was worth it.
