I’m having problems with this pattern, as the she’ll repeat is planned for 6 stitches, but as it’s listed, it’s actually 7 stitches. So, I made the following changes:

Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc, sk 2 sts, 5 dc in next stitch, sk 2 sts (shell pattern). Repeat shell pattern (from * to ) across. Sc in last stitch.

Row 3: Ch 2, turn. 3 dc in base of ch 2. Sk 2 sts. Repeat shell pattern across, ending with 3 dc in last stitch.

I’m making my tail for my 13yo, adult-size daughter, so I added 3 extra repeats. I began mine with a chain on 153, and it worked pefectly.
