Notes

I’ve spent two weeks looking for the perfect yarn for this. Turns out I had it stashed. The Scrumptious is heavier, so I went up to a J for my main hook.

4/7/2013 - I decided I didn’t like the main body stitch in this yarn. So, I’m using the Alpine Frost Scarf for the center square. I stuck with 117 starting chain (using the K hook). I’ll probably lightly block it before moving on to the border. I don’t plan on doing so dramatically, just enough to square it up and open it a little.

After 3.5 years, 3 houses, and zero interest, I almost threw the whole thing away. When I saw that I was only a few inches into the most recent border round, I decided to rip back, finish off, and block the damn the thing. While I found the yarn alluring when I first bought it, it isn’t my cup of tea anymore. But, it will make a decent office shawl for myself or my fiance (maybe I can retire my poor, ratty Babette).

It turned out nicer than I expected for something that had been abused heavily. The pictures leave a lot to be desired, but… eh.
