Notes

This was a test project for Mariaknittedit. Very beginner friendly and FAST. I used Kureyon instead of Chroma and it worked up beautifully.

While I’ve done plenty of tunisian crochet, this was both my first entrelac project and I enjoyed it immensely.

The pattern easy to follow and well photographed. I made the straps shorter than called for because I wanted a smaller, under the arm bag. I also added two small interior tabs to put magnets into for a closure. Finally, I used bits of ends to tie up any larger than normal holes between the squares.

I ended up felting the bag twice. The first time, it came out about where it should have size wise, but it wasn’t fulled to my liking. The second time did the trick, though the bag became much smaller than the pattern dictated (but fine for me). Some of the seaming didn’t full together completely (some did) and I think that was a matter of gauge. Noro being what it is, I could have gone down a hook size and not have had to felt it quite so long. So, I would take that into consideration if you’re choosing something other than Chroma.
