Notes

Pattern test. Lovely afghan! I used a lighter weight yarn and one size smaller on the hook. Little looser, a little smaller, and a lot of drape with the Spa (I used to love this yarn, my infatuation is officially dead and gone).

Notes:

The FSC row with the loops was a bit tricky until I wrapped my mind around it. But once I had that “duh” moment it was smooth sailing.

Make sure you are counting the chain 3 at the beginning as a DC.

If I couldn’t get into the top of the chain at the end of a row, I went into the 2nd chain down and did an extended DC (pull through one loop, then two, then two). This kept the edge nice and even for me.

  • Do yourself a favor and pull your loops through each other every few repeats. It saves a lot of time when you’re in that home stretch.

I had a terrible tendency to forget a chain 8 every once in a while on the second row of the repeat. Be hyper aware if you’re an air head like me.

I also tended to skip the stitch directly after a loop and directly before a fan. I found myself with 5 stitches instead of 6 more times than I’d care to admit.
