First sweater for myself….
Gauge was right on target with the yarn and needles!
I started knitting using the book pattern, but Ravelry pattern says there is an errata in first couple of rounds. It is not noticeable to me, so I’ll continue on instead of frogging and starting over.
It was a bit confusing when joining in the round. The first marker ends up being the beginning of the round, and the pattern continues marking the first stitch from there.
Finished raglan shaping and dividing sleeve stitches. Started working on collar.
Checked out other knitters’ Keene, and I think I’ll match the cuffs and bottom ribbing to be fisherman’s rib stitch also.
Love the yarn - soft, warm, sumptuous, with a hint of bright pink heather within the bright bluish purple.
Thinking of making it tunic/dress length with short sleeves….
Made it tunic length. Starting on sleeves. Definitely needs a kangaroo pocket!

Weaved in ends, washed, blocked, ready to wear. Still debating kangaroo pocket. I love the comfiness of the sweater!

This is to remind myself to always knit a swatch and block it to make sure I still like the fabric.
This yarn changed gauge after blocking!
Unblocked
13 sts, 17 rows on size 13 needles
Blocked
11.5 sts, 17 rows on size 13 needles
Luckily, for this sweater, I love it still and it still fits because I don’t mind the positive ease and it will still fit to my liking.
But beware of making same rookie mistake again! ALWAYS knit a gauge swatch and ALWAYS block!!!
