Not exactly a stashbuster -- it’s using up yarn I got for free because a baby blanket group cannot use wool for donated baby blankets. Unbelievably I was the only taker for this fine Cascade Yarn. It was donated to Safe Havens, a veterans group.
Milward 5.5 hook.
It’s a travel work piece, named in honor of my niece’s husband.

Just finished the first skein. It’s about 209 sq inches, so 9 skeins should be near 1881 sq inches. If one side is about 40 inches, the other side is about 47 inches. Should be a small but adequate size.

Not really liking the hook I chose. I have to roll it more than usual for it to do a pull through without catching. I’ve worked with Milward before and usually like them a lot.

Just finished the second skein, so remeasured to do an estimate of the final size.
Blanket is now 26 inches by 16.5 inches for an area of 429 square inches. Nine skeins estimates to be 1930 square inches. If one side is 45”, the other is 43; if one side is 40”, the other is 48”.
10-07-2019 Volleyball
This has become my take-along project for volleyball games. I can mindlessly do the stitches while paying attention to the games when necessary. I need to rename it to reflect the connection.

Volleyball tournament. Would have finished a skein but there was a loosely tied knot in the yarn.
