Third time’s the charm! I’m using a ribbon ladder yarn that I recouped from a sweater.
Here’s hoping that Row 2 doesn’t give me fits again.
07-27-2018 Rows 1 and 2 are hard
Can’t believe that I did not chain enough and didn’t catch it until I was more than halfway through Row 2. Rather than begin all over again, I attached yarn and extended the chain, then did all the EDCs on Row 1.
09-14-2018 Where is my backup hook
Backup hook is a Boye 00 stored in the medicine bag.

Now starting row 6
09-25-2018 Row 9
In the middle of row 9 -- the first row with two motifs. One motif is finishing its top; the other, starting its bottom. Although it’s only Row 9, the body of the shawl more than 25% completed.
09-26-2018 Renamed
Change the name to Yellowstone Shawl because I worked on while flying to and from Yellowstone Park
06-20-2019 Two more Crocheting trips
Took this to IMAG and crocheted a substantial number of rows.
Took this to Costa Rica and finished the body of the shawl; began round 1 of the edging.
Need to begin to take a look at how many beads per loop.
And remember to pack some contrasting yarn for the beaded row to make is easier to catch the 4th SC.
07-21-2019 Two more countries visited
Changed the name to add two more countries this shawl has visited.
01-21-2020 Back to finishing it and changing name
I gotta get this finished to get it done for BIAM.
I tested that my choice of beads would slide easily enough onto the ribbon yarn. I tried 3 beads to see how weighty they were. Too heavy. Went down to 2 beads and it’s just right.
The original pattern calls for 795 beads. That’s 5 beads fringe tip and 318 beads in all. My friend Liz gave me the beds from her extensive stash.
So far so good.
02-12-2020 Milestone peak reached
