Notes

Started out size 44 but narrowed down to a size 40 after three inches of bottom knitting. Added almost 3 inches to length. At this point, I stopped purling on the right edges and will measure from this point upwards for armhole edging, as this point will now indicate what the pattern writer says is the cast on edge.

NO increases were made in the bust area, which meant I did not add 12 stitches total over the bust area as written in the pattern. Next time I will!

In order to accommodate a larger arm hole, will start the cowl neck knitting at 17 inches from my modified started edge as my arms are larger at the top due to lymphedema.
Note to self: hang the piece before measuring! It increased in length by hanging.

Also, since I have small reconstructed breasts due to mastectomy, I will set up the cowl shaping 11.5 inches from my modified cast on edge. When instructions say to begin MR and ML, I put a stitch marker at the 14th stitch. Since no extra stitches were added across the bust area, I had to add several stitches along the front to start with 105 stitches before beginning the short rows for making the cowl. Used Cat Bordhi’s video for help in hiding wraps..genius technique.

Will add additional armhole girth by making the armhole measure 8 inches. Then will bind off using a slipped stitch crochet hook bindoff. I did NOT put on additional crochet edging as the pattern calls for.

Total length with those additional rows added and after washing and blocking: 27.5 inches.

Very happy with this and will make this again!
