This was my third attempt at this hat, after disliking the first two yarns I started it in. The original plan was to use Malabrigo Worsted in “Indigo,” but it was too variegated and looked awful with this pattern. I had some Bahh! Shasta in “Champagne” so I tried that, but I didn’t like the texture. I love the pattern so much that I was maybe a little obsessed with it being perfect.

After much indecision, I finally decided on some Organik (by my fave yarn company) in green (my favorite color); It has good stitch definition and slight enough color variations to add to the pattern without muddling it.
