I saw Lulu’s handmade corner video for bobble stitch hat which was for a baby. The video does not specify the size made. It is made with double crochet. So I am using the simple double crochet hat pattern and adding bobbles.

It will be for 19” circumference hat for two and a half year old.

The yarn is leftover from another project which is discontinued, did not have enough to make bobbles closely, so made the bobbles on every other row.
This time I eyeballed as to the placement of bobbles.
Next time, if I was to make it again, I would calculate stitches to place them evenly and pick an increase pattern that would accommodate the bobbles.

Started with 12 dc in magic ring,
2DC in each stitch (24).
bobble row with 4 even spaced increases.
Dc row with 4 increases again.
Alternating with bobble row ended with 54 stiches.
Then continued without increase till desired length.
Border of 4 sc rows. Added a flower. ( followed one of many flower tutorials on YouTube.
Ideally the increases should have stopped at 46 stitches, but my granddaughter has pigtails on the sides, hence a slightly larger hat.
