Casting on in 1x1 rib for the size 36, which should fit me snugly, planning to add 5” bust darts/shortrows, modifying sleeves to have a vintage shape based on the tips in Vintage Design Workshop, as well as considerably shorter length to hit at my natural waist. Should give me the sweater girl look and go from a vintage fit to a modern fit with ease as I continue losing weight. (Though if I manage to lose another 40lbs during the knitting of this one I won’t mind!)

21 rows of ribbing (3”) not counting cast on edge, then the techknitter transition (slip knits purlwise, purl the purls) on row 22 before switching to stockinette for the body.

Finished the back. Absentmindedly cast off 7 at the beginning of shoulder shaping rows so I opted for a 7-6-5 pattern of steps instead of 6-6-6, to still get the right number without having to tink.

Seamed the body, glad it fits but I should’ve gone ahead and given myself negative ease in the torso, for the more vintage look. I keep thinking I’m fatter than I am, brain hasn’t caught up to the weight loss.
