This is a special choose-your-own-adventure asymmetric triangle designed for a very special mini skein set.
It has 5 base parts that are all interchangeable, (1 lace, the others floating cables over garter stripes), so you can play with how the parts are assembled and how different things work. Each chart is repeatable, and the cable parts come in different lengths to make working with your available yardage easier.
Suits fingering to DK.
Chart sequence: everything goes everywhere, however from row 12 of chart 3, if changing to chart 2 or 4, begin with row 1a.)
This concept was inspired by the gorgeous rainbow of yarn, a beautiful reminder that we all share this earth, and that our difference and diversity is something that strengthens us.. All colours are equal in a rainbow.
This design was intended to raise funds for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, but the environmental crisis here in Australia is so urgent that I want to respond to that first, and the next release will go to ASRC instead. (However the ASRC does such wonderful work - by all donate there instead of buying a pattern, then tell me about it and I will gladly gift you a pattern of your choice!)

Still searching for the right name.. Colour Balance, Colour harmony, colour spectrum, true colours, flying colours, spectral colour, changing colours, colour therapy, complementary colour, chasing rainbows, adjusting the white balance (in a monochrome version).
All of the colours together create a synergy - something greater than any one colour independently. This applies to people too. Imagine what would happen if globally we began to value, learn from, and support each other, in all our wonderful differences and profound similarities..
It’s taken me 3 goes to knit this yarn. I’m not a perfectionist, but I love this set so much I wanted to really do it justice. I tried pairing opposites in 2 different ways, to show how beautifully they complement each other (which they really do) and that opposites can blend (which they also do wonderfully) but in the end working the set in homologous sequence really showed it’s beauty and strength.
