Had a sudden urge to make a quick cabled beanie, and now I can’t stop knitting them!

I’ve charted up a worsted version (I’m using a DK & a fingering held together, because I’m short of worsted here), and a DK version.

For a slouchy version, the plain ribbed rows can be repeated, and likewise for a rolled brim, work more plain rows before beginning the first cabled row.

The first 2 are worsted (Rowan Tweed & Cascade Heritage Silk held together). Worked on 4mm. Yarn weight: ?

The gradient is the DK (some Gobsmacked goodness). Worked on 3.25 mm needles. Yarn weight: ?

(Hmm, I wonder if you could make it in fingering if you worked 8 reps of the DK chart and repeated more of the plain rows.. Maybe smaller needles for the brim, since it will be a more relaxed iteration..)
