My gauge is off (must’ve forgotten to make a gauge swatch). I’m all the way through the main rectangle and it’s way smaller than it stated at the beginning of the pattern. (Should be 17.5” wide x 54” long, blocked and mine is 12”w x 43” L, unblocked) Not sure why I just now noticed this. Hmmm. I can’t add to it because the yarn is a multicolor gradient and the colors won’t line up. Will have to go to Plan B and make it for my little niece.

Ok, so after blocking aggressively, it measured 14”x57”. I decided to go with it. I veered from the instructions when forming the neck. To avoid the puckering, I seamed the outside corners and left the middle open about 14” (folded) and started the neck rounds from there with a smaller hook. When doing the neck rounds, I alternated decrease rounds with normal rounds until the opening was 12.25” (folded). I did follow the instructions for the neck edge, but it made it curl, so I will likely skip that if I do it again. Seaming the outer corners in turned out making the corners stick out. Darn.

A few notes on this yarn: knitpicks chroma fingering. Beautiful colors but yarn goes thick and thin. Will not frog at all. There were at least two spots where they joined the yarn (no knots-Yay) but joined it with the opposite color instead of the next color in the gradient. It really stands out in the work and since i didnt notice it immediately, there is no way to rip it back because it won’t frog.
