Holding the yarn doubled was giving me stripes, not variegation so I frogged and am knitting with single strand only. I will follow pattern, but am shortening the body length by half an inch. We’ll see if my monkey looks proportioned.

Success! My guy measures a tad over 3 inches(not including legs) from his bum to the top of his head. I embroidered a mouth & nostrils and made a much longer scarf.

Quite a bit of yarn leftover - I’m sure I can manage another out of what’s left.

I gave this project a medium difficulty rating because it’s a little fiddly & there was a lot of weaving in of ends - the construction, however, is clever and makes this little guy a interesting knit.
