1/20/13 I was a Very Good Knitter and did knit a circular gauge swatch. 4.5 stitches to the inch. Perfect.

Making good progress on the braided hem. After it’s finished, I’ll graft it in a circle, then use a crochet hook to attach this to knitting needles, and I’ll be able to work up the body.

1/18/13 This will be like the Braided Yoke Sweater, though instead of the three strand braid I used for the hem, I’m going to experiment with a four-stranded braid. Depending on how I feel a about it, I may use some sort of latticed texturing at the waist rather than ribbing, too.

Otherwise, it should be about the same.

This time, I’m being smart. Gauge swatch will be knitted first!
