Inspired by the colors of the sky just after sunset…

Update 15 March 2015:
So I finished the pattern, but my shawl wasn’t at my intended size yet. I had two options:

1. Repeat earlier rows from the pattern
2. Make up my own rows

I chose option 2. Proud of myself for attempting this, but also quite scared it won’t work out

Modifications:

• Row 33: Chain 4, skip sc and first dc stitch. Dc 5 times: in 2 dc, in ch sp and in 2 dc, chain 1, dc in last ch sp
• Row 34: Chain 5, skip ch and first dc stitch. Dc 3 times the center 3 dc’s underneath, chain 2, dc in last ch stitch
• Row 35: Chain 6, Dc 2 times between the 3 dc’s underneath, chain 3, dc in last ch stitch
• Row 36: Chain 7, Dc once between the 2 dc’s underneath, chain 4, dc in last ch stitch
• Row 37: Chain 1, sc in all the stitches
• Row 38: Chain 2, hdc in all the stitches
• Row 39: Chain 4, cross trc: skip two st, trc in third, chain 1, trc in first of the skipped stitches (from behind)
• Row 40-46: Pattern 53 without the picots from the Crochet book by Jaroslava Dovcová.

23-03-2015: It is done! It blocked out to the full span of my arms :) I used a little less than 3 skeins of Fenna and a 5 mm crochet hook.
