The beginning of this one is a bit fiddly, but once you get past that, it’s smooth sailing and very easy knitting. I’m liable to finish it in two weeks — which also included working full time, my parents’ birthday party, and a couple of evenings where I didn’t get to knit much at all.
I love the cattail silk for it and am sure I’m going to need one in a darker color as well.

I am so happy with this FO. One of the few knits I can wear all summer long here in Texas. The fit and style look great on all of the testers. And my whole tee weighs less than 200 grams. With the yardage in the cattail silk, that means I used less than two skeins. And they put it on sale 20% off regularly. I have another gorgeous color to make this again already.
My only mods to the pattern were adding 8 straight rounds to the sleeves before the decrease round, knitting a little more length before the smocking round — the pattern tells you where you should start it based on fit — adding maybe an inch or two to the peplum, and skipping the short rows at the hem.
Really love this. Wore it to church today and got lots of compliments!

Just adding a note that I’m already halfway through my second one because I love this one so much. The second one WILL have the short rows at the hem. And the same few extra rounds on the sleeves. Can’t wait to finish and wear it too.
