This might be a nice pairing for a Furinji?
First Furinji project - uses Keira
Needles: US 6?
. MB Kilimanjaro is a light fingering
. Midnatssol is classed as a lace
Remember to weigh yarn per ‘set’ (RS+WS) towards the end. I needed 8g to bind-off, so allocate at least the same amount I’m getting per set for the BO.
Fringe CO:
. Use a backward loop as per pattern. Cast on with the yarn away from me on the other side of the needle; so the right leg of the loop is to the right like a normal stitch. I am using my left hand to twist the loop. Haven’t quite gotten into the mental zone to do it quickly. I always have to futz around with this.
Fringe BO:
. I am doing a simply BO - knit first stitch, then the second, gently pull first over the second. Knit the next, gently pull previous over.
. Sets completed: 34
. Grams per set (average towards end)
… Ansel: 4.5 to 5g
… Midnatssol: 2.2 to 2.5
. Bind-off
… Ansel: 4.6g
… Midnatssol: 2.1g
Blocking (notes from First Project)
. Soak for about 20 minutes or so
. Lay on boards in gentle U triangle shape
. If needed (not this time), KnitBlockers on tips
… and along lace side to open it up
. This is an asymmetrical triangle. My brain kept wanting to stretch it to be more symmetrical but I kept it at what the fabric wanted to do naturally.

YARN CONSUMPTION
. I was so excited to begin, I forgot to weigh my yarn!
. The Kilimanjaro was a partial skein, tag says approximately 4.3 oz (about 122g), 537y
… Remaining Grams: 5.7
… so used would be about 116g
. First Midnatssol puff ended midway through Set 23, stitch count 104.
… towards the center of the puff, the mohair looked looped, almost boucle
. Second puff weighed just under 24g
… this yarn is so thin, I just started the second puff holding it with the first towards the end for 20 stitches overlapped. Can’t see too much added bulk, so an easy way to ‘weave ends in’.
… not so much loopy-ness on this puff. Just a little bit at the center.
. Third puff weight at 23.6g
… Remaining grams: 21.0
. I’m going to guess I used about 50g total
… So weigh your puffs!
